Annual report 2025
The Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) is Australia’s national education evidence body, working to achieve our vision of excellence and equity in educational outcomes for all children and young people. It was established by Education Ministers as a trusted national body to bring clarity, consistency and rigour to the evidence supporting early childhood education and care (ECEC) and schools.
Five years on, we’re proud of our contribution to strengthening Australia’s education systems. This includes:
- leading the growth of evidence-based teaching in schools
- increasing capability and quality across ECEC
- building the evidence to drive equitable outcomes in education
- supporting education systems to embed evidence into policy
- supporting teachers and school leaders in fostering positive, safe and well-managed learning environments.
