A project to provide practical guidance for school leaders to improve student learning outcomes through effective school strategic plans

The following case study has been created by Schools Plus, with the support of Darling Heights State School, as an example of engaging with families to support student learning in primary school.

This publication combines AERO’s practice guides, practice resources and explainer on delivering reading interventions in a secondary school MTSS, with details of the methodology used to create these resources.

This practice resource is designed to help secondary school leaders and teachers better support the wellbeing and engagement of secondary students in an MTSS framework.

We identified 10 approaches to evidence-use commonly used by Australian school systems and sectors.

School strategic plans are multi-year and annual plans produced through regular school review cycles to communicate a school’s intentions for improvement. AERO conducted a literature review to understand the features of effective school strategic plans.
