As an organisation that supports the use of evidence to improve education outcomes, AERO uses evidence to better understand and improve the outcomes of our own work.

Our impact

AERO works closely with a wide range of organisations across the education landscape who are, collectively, striving to strengthen education in Australia. AERO provides insights to help policymakers in systems and sectors understand and respond to trends, challenges and opportunities in education. 

AERO also develops guides and resources to support effective, evidence-based teaching in early childhood education and care (ECEC) services and schools.

AERO draws lessons from uptake, use and impact to continuously improve the design and implementation of its work. In doing so, AERO is committed to working in collaboration with key users to improve and increase the excellence and equity of educational outcomes.

Using this framework as a foundation, we monitor and evaluate our work to: 

  • understand what is working well and how we can improve
  • inform decisions about our strategy
  • be transparent and accountable to our funders and partners
  • support continued confidence in the quality and value of our research and resources.
