Abstract
The Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) has developed this module to support schools with a deliberate and structured approach to implementing evidence-based teaching practices. It is designed to be used by school leaders and other members of implementation teams in the early stage of implementation.
The module includes videos and information to build you and your team’s implementation leadership knowledge.
At the end of this module, you’ll be able to explain why school implementation teams are important, what their functions and capabilities are, the structures that support them and how team members use data to define an implementation goal.
The module will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Team reflection and data analysis prompts will extend this time.
This practice resource is part of a set of resources about leading implementation through a school implementation team, including:
- an implementation team meeting practice guide and template, which helps with planning for and facilitating regular implementation team meetings
- a practice resource on building and operating an effective implementation team, which details the why, who and how of leading implementation through a team.
